Brian Dettmer: New Books of Knowledge & World Books

I’ve been developing a real taste for book art and mixed media sculpture. Brian Dettmer is one of my favorites. He painstakingly cuts out pieces of the books to create elaborate multi-layered images out of the structure of the book itself.

These two pieces were created out of entire sets of encyclopedias.
